Enjoy The Journey To Your Goal!

Enjoy The Journey To Your Goal!
It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it. ― Dale Carnegie

One day I came across an interview of a guy where the interviewer asks him how did he feel after achieving success.

His response was: All my life I worked hard to get it. Days of sleepless nights. So much stress and anxiety. And the day I felt I actually got it, the happiness didn’t really last long.

Just a few days when things around were new it amused me and then thereafter everything felt like a start. Fresh goals, a new struggle, and the same life. And that made me think.

As far as I have my memory of my childhood, whenever I asked my parents for something they did they would tell me to wait until I grow a bit more. I eagerly waited to grow up to do things on my own.

During my school days, they would tell me to do good in exams and then my future is all set. I eagerly waited for it to finish.

In my college time, they told me if I do good in my university exams then I’m all set in life. I eagerly waited for it to finish.

When I got my job my manager told me once you get good experience then I don’t have to sweat. I eagerly waited to have a good experience.

When I got my baby people around me told me it’s just 2 to 3 years of sleepless nights then you are all sorted. I eagerly waited for my kid to grow up so that I can relax.

When we lived in a smaller apartment my family told me to adjust a few years to move to a bigger apartment. I eagerly waited until we got there.

All the while all I did was wait for the end to be happy. I actually didn’t enjoy the process which got me to the end. That day I truly felt what John Lennon once said.

Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans. – John Lennon.
Breath deep and enjoy everything. It worked for me.!
